Hyderabad: Konijeti Rosaiah, a former Chief Minister of the old Andhra Pradesh, was known for presenting the State Budget an impressive 16 times. This achievement highlighted his strong political skills and deep economic knowledge. On Friday, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, the Minister for IT and Industries, honored Mr. Rosaiah, calling him both a skilled economist and a dedicated policymaker.
During the celebration of Mr. Rosaiah’s 92nd birth anniversary at Ravindra Bharathi, the Minister praised him as a respected statesman admired by all, including his political opponents. Mr. Sridhar Babu mentioned that despite reaching high positions, Mr. Rosaiah stayed humble and down-to-earth. He added that unveiling Mr. Rosaiah’s statue at Lakdikapul is a fitting tribute to his significant contributions.
Mr. Rosaiah’s career began as a simple party worker, but his dedication and talent led him to serve as an MLC, MLA, MP, Minister, Chief Minister, and Governor. He excelled in every role with integrity. Mr. Sridhar Babu noted that Mr. Rosaiah’s eloquence, dedication to study, and administrative skills were key to his successful public life.
Until his last days, Mr. Rosaiah was committed to public service, known for his thorough understanding of issues and representing the people’s voice in the Legislature. Mr. Sridhar Babu mentioned that Mr. Rosaiah spoke with clarity and courage, especially on legislative matters. He shared a personal connection, recalling Mr. Rosaiah as a mentor who was close to his family and had a strong bond with his father, Duddilla Sripada Rao. Serving alongside Mr. Rosaiah in the cabinet was a great honor for Mr. Sridhar Babu.
Inspired by Mr. Rosaiah’s legacy, Mr. Sridhar Babu concluded that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the government is dedicated to the development of Telangana. The event was also attended by Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, and Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Jupally Krishna Rao, among other notable leaders.
