Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha has instructed officials to ensure that government hospitals have a reliable power supply for emergency medical services.

A high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday focused on this issue, following a power outage at the emergency ward of the Government Area Hospital in Zaheerabad. During this incident, doctors reportedly used mobile flashlights to treat a patient, leading to the suspension of the hospital’s incharge.

At the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need for uninterrupted electricity in all government hospitals.
