Rangareddy District Collector C Narayana Reddy has urged officials to speed up the construction of Indiramma Houses. Over 16,000 houses have been approved in the district. The administration aims to help all eligible people under this scheme, ensuring applications are processed quickly.
In a video conference with officials about the Indiramma Housing and Rajiv Vikasam Schemes, the Collector emphasized starting the groundwork for these houses immediately. He stressed the importance of completing the projects on time.
The Collector instructed the formation of a supervision committee in each mandal. This committee will decide the prices for materials like sand, bricks, and stones, as well as mason charges.
The Collector revealed that 16,617 houses have been sanctioned for eligible individuals. However, 839 applications are still pending and will be reviewed soon.
Sand for building these houses is free. The Collector insisted it be accessible to all beneficiaries.
For the Rajiv Vikasam scheme, he asked for the list of selected beneficiaries to be sent to his login. He noted that each beneficiary should receive at least Rs 1 lakh, with funds to be released in June.
Project Director DRDA Rangareddy Srilatha, along with BC and Minority Welfare officers and other senior officials, joined the video conference.
