Minister Uttam Kumar to launch Telangana rice export to the Philippines from Kakinada port

Kakinada: Telangana is reaching a new milestone in rice exports. Minister Uttam Kumar is visiting Kakinada port today to launch the first shipment of rice being sent to the Philippines.

This shipment is part of a trade agreement between the Telangana government and the Philippines. Under this deal, Telangana will export a total of 8 lakh tonnes of rice to the Southeast Asian country.

In the first phase, 12,500 tonnes of rice will be shipped from Kakinada port. This move is expected to strengthen trade relations between Telangana and the Philippines.

The rice export deal is also expected to support Telangana’s farmers and boost the state’s agricultural economy. Minister Uttam Kumar will officially begin the shipment today, showing Telangana’s growing role in international rice exports.
