    Hyderabad: A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to look into a case related to illegal betting apps. The team will be led by the Director General of the Crime Investigation Department (CID). Its main goal is to stop online betting activities and take strong action against those involved.

    The SIT includes five senior police officers. Among them are Ramesh Reddy, a senior police official, and Superintendents of Police (SPs) Sindhu Sharma and Venkatalakshmi. Additional Superintendent Chandrakant and Deputy Superintendent Shankar are also part of the team.

    These officers will handle all the cases related to the betting apps that have been given to the SIT. They will also work on suggesting ways to prevent future illegal betting activities.

    The Director General of Police (DGP) has asked the SIT to complete their investigation within 90 days. The team is expected to take serious steps against those running or using these betting apps and come up with strong plans to stop such crimes from happening again.
