    MLA Voditala Satish Kumar praised the Telangana government for implementing schemes and programmes that help women excel in all areas. He spoke at the Telangana Women’s Welfare Day programme on Tuesday in Husnabad. These programmes include Griha Lakshmi Scheme, Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme, Arogya Lakshmi Scheme, nutritious food provisions for pregnant women, She Teams for women’s safety, and action against sexual domestic violence. The government has also set up Sakhi Centres and Bharosa Kendras to support women. Women employees are given maternity leave and child care leave, and Anganwadi teachers and nurses have received a 300% salary increase.

    The Telangana government empowers women through financial assistance like bank linkage, interest-free loans, and pensions for single women. Programmes like KCR Kit, Asara Pensions, KCR Nutrition Kit, and V-Hub help women grow as entrepreneurs. MLA Voditala Satish Kumar presented a cheque for Rs 7 crore by bank loan to Husnabad constituency Mandal Women’s Associations. The event also included the honouring of women employees and women public representatives.
