MLC Teenmar Mallanna has been suspended from his party for breaking its rules. The decision was made by Chinna Reddy, the chairman of the party’s disciplinary committee. Mallanna was suspended because he did not respond to a show-cause notice sent to him.

On February 5, the party asked Mallanna to explain his actions, especially regarding the BC caste census issue. He was given time until February 12 to reply, but he did not respond. Chinna Reddy stated that Mallanna repeatedly ignored the party’s instructions, which led to his suspension.

TPCC chief Mahesh Goud said the party is concerned about members who do not follow its guidelines. He warned that such behavior would not be accepted. According to Goud, Mallanna had been warned several times but did not change his actions. He also mentioned that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) is taking the BC caste census issue seriously.
