Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Adilabad district and connected with the Adivasi community. He mentioned that until the BJP government recognized the contributions of Ramji Gond and Komaram Bhim, the Adivasi population in Telangana was not respected.
Modi highlighted the achievements of Adivasi individuals, such as an Adivasi woman becoming India’s President and celebrating Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary as a national festival. The welfare of Adivasis is a top priority for the BJP government, which has established a separate ministry for tribal affairs and launched a museum showcasing Adivasi contributions to the freedom struggle.
The Centre introduced a Rs 24,000 crore scheme to benefit the poorest Adivasis, including smaller groups like Chanchu, Kolam, and Konda Reddy in Telangana. Initiatives like the Sammakka-Sarakka Central Tribal University and the Turmeric Board demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to the state’s development.
Modi emphasized that his promises would be fulfilled, citing various projects launched under the Vikasit Utsav initiative. These projects include educational programs, storage schemes, cooperative computerization, fertilizer plants, infrastructure development, and textile conclave. The rapid implementation of these projects showcases the government’s dedication to development.
