Hyderabad saw a continuation of Aarogyasri medical services for the second day on Thursday. Some hospitals in the network, which initially planned to halt services, have resumed operations. Officials observed a shift in behavior after the initial suspension notices.
Out of 477 hospitals in the Aarogyasri network, most are still providing services. Initially, 62 hospitals stopped the services, but that number has now dropped to under 50, as at least 12 hospitals have resumed.
Aarogyasri CEO Uday Kumar urged all hospitals to maintain their medical services. He expressed gratitude to the hospital owners and doctors who kept their services running and promised his support. Kumar also warned that strict measures would be enforced against anyone threatening to stop services, a problem some hospital owners reported.
Officials noted that for the past two weeks, an average of 844 surgeries were recorded daily under Aarogyasri. On Wednesday and Thursday, there was a daily average of 814 surgeries.
