The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) in Warangal will soon have a new MRI scanning machine. According to Dr V Chandrasekhar, the hospital superintendent, this new machine does not require helium and is both cost-effective and easy to maintain. It provides 40% better resolution compared to the old model and is embedded with artificial intelligence (AI), which helps doctors in diagnosing health problems more effectively. Additionally, the machine has a wider bore of 70 centimeters, making it more comfortable for patients who experience claustrophobia. It also produces less noise than traditional scanners. The manufacturing company will provide maintenance for 10 years. The Telangana State Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) has allocated Rs 10.60 crore for the machine. The machine will be inaugurated on Friday by MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao.
