Nagarkurnool: The students of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School in Naganool village, which is part of Nagarkurnool Municipality, held a protest against their English teacher, Kalyani. The students refused to attend classes and sat in front of the school for almost three hours. They even skipped their midday meal as part of the protest.

The students said that about ten days ago, a Class 9 student named Yamini was harshly scolded by teacher Kalyani for arriving late to school. This left Yamini deeply upset, and she sadly took her own life. This tragic event angered her classmates and led to the protest.

Parents and student union leaders joined the protest to support the students. They gathered at the school and demanded action against the teacher. Some union leaders also spoke to the students and encouraged them.
