Mahabubnagar: A new building for Backward Class (BC) communities, called BC Bhavan, will soon be built in Mahabubnagar district. This promise was made by MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy after meeting with leaders from various BC organizations.
On Tuesday, BC community leaders visited the MLA at his camp office. They gave him a letter asking for a special building where they can hold meetings, press conferences, and other community events. They explained that about 65% of the district’s population belongs to BC communities, but there is no proper place for them to gather and carry out their activities.
The leaders also said that no district in Telangana has a BC Bhavan yet. They believe that if one is built in Mahabubnagar, it would set an example for the rest of the state. It would also show the Congress-led government’s support for BC communities and bring more recognition to the district.
Right now, many BC groups have to spend their own money to organize events. A dedicated BC Bhavan would help reduce their costs and give them a proper space to plan and work on community development.
MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy assured the leaders that the building will be constructed soon in the district headquarters. He said it will be available for all BC associations to use for their programs. The leaders welcomed his decision and thanked him, saying it is a positive step toward empowering BC communities.
Some of the well-known leaders who attended the meeting were Modal Srinivas Sagar, Sarangi Lakshmikant, Bugganna, and Ramachandraiah.
