Andhra Pradesh CM Approves Telangana Legislators’ Recommendation Letters for Tirumala Darshan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to a request made by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding special darshan privileges at the Tirumala temple. The request allows recommendation letters from Telangana MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to be used by devotees for special access to Lord Venkateswara Swamy’s temple.

Revanth Reddy had earlier written to Naidu on December 16, urging him to reinstate the previous practice of accepting recommendation letters issued by Telangana legislators. This tradition enables devotees to have special darshan and perform special pujas at the famous temple.

According to the approval, each Telangana legislator can issue two types of recommendation letters. These include two letters for break darshan and two for Rs. 300 special darshan tickets. Each recommendation letter will allow up to six devotees to avail of the special darshan privileges.

This decision is expected to benefit numerous devotees from Telangana, providing them with easier access to the sacred temple through their representatives’ recommendations.
