Bhatti highlights Dr. Manmohan’s key role in poverty reduction

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka praised former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for introducing transformative policies like the Food Security Act, which aimed to benefit every citizen and reflected the sentiments of the people.

Speaking in the Assembly during a condolence motion to honor Manmohan Singh’s passing, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the significant contributions made by the late leader. He noted that Singh implemented the Right to Information Act in 2005 and the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, which brought major changes to the country. “Manmohan Singh had a deep understanding of India’s social circumstances and crafted these laws accordingly,” he said.

Expressing grief over the loss, Bhatti Vikramarka extended condolences to Singh’s family. “Dr. Manmohan Singh was an exceptional leader who made tough decisions to serve the nation. His efforts helped establish India as a strong economic power. We are proud that such a remarkable individual was born in our country,” he added.
