Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress and the I.N.D.I.A alliance for accusing him of using the Enforcement Directorate to uncover illegal wealth. He mentioned that he was considering creating a legal framework to return such money to the people of India. Speaking at an NDA public meeting in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, Modi highlighted a case in Jharkhand where Rs 25 crore in unaccounted cash was found at a government official’s residence.

Modi also mentioned that the ED had previously discovered a large sum of cash with an MP close to the Congress’s first family. He questioned whether this money was meant for the family and suggested that Rahul Gandhi should provide an answer. The Prime Minister stated that he was seeking legal advice on the matter and had already collected Rs 1.25 lakh crore. He expressed his intention to return this black money to the people, citing his previous return of Rs 17,000 crore.
