Hyderabad – Dr. Laxman, Rajya Sabha Member and National President of the BJP OBC Morcha, criticized the Congress party for failing to conduct a caste census despite being in power for many years.

Dr. Laxman stressed the importance of recognizing the large population of Backward Classes (BCs) in India. He stated that the Congress government had ignored the needs of BCs for decades. In contrast, he said, the Narendra Modi-led BJP government has launched several welfare schemes to support these communities since coming to power.
