    Hyderabad City police are increasing night patrols in response to rising criminal activities, especially in Old City. However, some people on social media are criticizing the police for their treatment of children and their use of foul language.

    The police have stepped up vigilance in Old City, making sure commercial establishments close by 11:30 pm. Officers, including the Task Force, are patrolling isolated areas at night to maintain law and order and prevent attacks by anti-social elements. They are also questioning youngsters about being out late.

    A special drive initiated by the Task Force and local police, directed by Hyderabad City police commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, is targeting areas like Shahalibanda, Kalapather, Yakutpura, and others. Parents are being urged to keep tabs on their children and not allow them out past midnight.

    Videos circulating on social media show police using foul language and aggressive tactics towards children and young people during these patrols. Critics say this approach is inappropriate and that targeting only Old City residents is unfair. Activists are calling for action against officers who behave inappropriately.

Concerns have been raised about the psychological impact of prolonged policing on young people. Calls for fair treatment of all citizens, regardless of their neighborhood, have been made.
