Hyderabad: World Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen has officially joined the police force as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) on Wednesday. She submitted her joining report to the Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. Jitender IPS, at the police headquarters in Hyderabad.
Nikhat Zareen, who hails from Nizamabad district, is a two-time world boxing champion. She has also won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Asian Games. Recently, she represented India in the Olympics held in Paris.
The state government had issued orders appointing Nikhat Zareen as a DSP in the Special Police. After receiving the appointment, she formally submitted her joining report to the DGP.
