Hyderabad: On Monday, the WICCI Holistic Child Development Council hosted a wellness event called HolistiCare: A Family Wellness Summit at ExtraMile Preschool & Enrichment Centre in Nallagandla. Over 115 people, including families, child-development experts, and community organizations, attended to learn about nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and emotional learning through practical sessions.
The summit began with a welcome for Chief Guest Dr. Nitin Chawla, a specialist in Pediatrics and Critical Care at KIMS Cuddles. A fireside chat featuring Dr. Ankita R. Chawla, an Emergency Medicine Specialist, and Dr. Pallavi Maddukuri, a Consultant Paediatrician at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, discussed preventive care, nutrition, and lifestyle issues.
The event included a panel discussion on “The Holistic Health Equation: Integrating Nutrition, Physical Activity & Mindfulness” with Anjali Dange V, Devashis Jena, and Namrata Sadhvani. For children, activities like storytelling by Nupur Agarwal, a session by SpringUp Leadership, and a journaling workshop by Thinklebuds were organized. A Zumba session by Rashmi Srivastava and a Family Wellness Masterclass by Payal Jain were also part of the event. Families enjoyed stalls and demonstrations by Appuworld Library, Thinklebuds, Mukti’s Kitchen, and Nature’s Touch by Arti.
Anupama Dalmia, the National President of the WICCI Holistic Child Development Council, stated, “HolistiCare turned evidence-based insights into easy practices for families since wellbeing and prevention begin at home.”
