District Collector Valluri Kranti has instructed officials to expedite the selection process for the Gruhalakshmi scheme in the district. The eligible beneficiaries, who do not have their own homes but have land to build on, should be chosen. A review meeting was held in the IDOC Conference hall with the MP DOs, Tashildars, and Municipal Commissioners to discuss the Gruhalakshmi scheme, old-age pension, and special registration of women voters.

The officials must select beneficiaries who can afford to build up to the basement level and have their own plots. If any issues arise during the selection process, they should be brought to the attention of the District Collector.

The MP DOs have been instructed to promptly send a list of eligible candidates who have applied for the pension scheme after proper verification. The officials were also urged to upload details of voters who have registered using Form 6 for the voters’ list.

The Tashildars were advised to take necessary measures to ensure that EPI cards are provided to new voters. Special campaigns for women voter registration should be conducted in collaboration with the health, revenue, and welfare departments. The deadline for this campaign is the 19th of this month. Officials should make all arrangements and ensure maximum participation of voters in the district. The BLOs are tasked with completing pending voter registrations and correcting the list promptly.
