Officials Inspect Gachibowli Road Debris, Seek Citizen Suggestions for Cleanup Solutions

The Commissioner of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and the Collector of Rangareddy district conducted a joint inspection of the road stretch between IKEA and Meenakshi Delight in Gachibowli on Thursday. The inspection was carried out in response to concerns raised by local citizens regarding large heaps of construction and demolition debris at the location.

The inspection team included several senior officials from multiple departments. The Zonal Commissioner of Kukatpally, RDO Rangareddy, AD Mines Rangareddy, IALA Zonal Manager, PCB EE Rangareddy, DEE SWM Madhapur, and representatives from the Ramky C&D Processing Unit team participated in the site visit.

During the inspection, officials held detailed discussions on the removal and processing of the construction and demolition debris accumulated at the site. The team also examined plans for the reuse of the land once the debris clearance is completed.

The authorities are currently evaluating two primary approaches to address the debris problem. The first option involves lifting the debris from the site and transporting it to designated C&D waste processing facilities. The second approach being considered is processing the debris directly at the site using appropriate methods and equipment.

Officials stated that they are exploring the best possible solution to clear the debris heaps effectively. In an effort to involve citizens in the decision-making process, the authorities have invited suggestions from the public. Residents were requested to share their recommendations with the official handle by 8 PM on the same day.

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation emphasized that every concern raised by citizens is being noted and taken seriously. The administration assured residents that they will arrive at the most effective solution for clearing the construction and demolition waste heaps from the Gachibowli area.

The debris accumulation along the IKEA to Meenakshi Delight road stretch has been a source of inconvenience for residents and commuters in the area. The joint inspection reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing civic issues promptly and involving multiple departments for coordinated action.

The initiative has been part of the Clean Cyberabad campaign, which aims to maintain cleanliness and proper waste management across the municipal corporation limits. The involvement of various departments including the Pollution Control Board and waste management teams indicates a comprehensive approach to resolving the debris disposal challenge.
