Hyderabad: Frustrated by severe damage to their homes and belongings, residents in the Yakutpura constituency protested at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) office in the Charminar Zone.

Around 300 residents from areas like Dhobi Ghat, Madina Nagar, Sadath Nagar, and Moula Ka Chilla gathered to express their grievances. They blamed the civic authorities for their plight, as rainwater flooding affects them every monsoon. Recently, heavy rains left their neighborhoods submerged.

Mohammed Abdul Rahman, a leading protester, explained that the flooding destroyed homes, electronics, and essential items, leaving many residents struggling to recover. The damage has made it difficult for them to return to normalcy.
