Today, on April 28, 2023, the prices for petrol and diesel in India remained steady. The prices for petrol in different cities were: Rs. 96.72 per litre in Delhi, Rs. 109.66 per litre in Hyderabad, Rs. 102.65 per litre in Chennai, Rs. 106.31 per litre in Mumbai, and Rs. 101.94 per litre in Bangalore. The prices for diesel were: Rs. 89.62 per litre in Delhi, Rs. 97.82 per litre in Hyderabad, Rs. 94.24 per litre in Chennai, Rs. 97.28 per litre in Mumbai, and Rs. 87.89 per litre in Bangalore.

India mostly depends on imported crude oil to produce petrol and diesel, so the prices of crude oil also affect the prices of petrol and diesel in India. However, other factors such as increasing demand, government taxes, exchange rates between rupee and dollar, and refinery concept ratio can also impact the domestic fuel prices.
