Petrol and diesel prices for today, May 5th, 2023, are stable. The prices vary depending on the city. In Delhi, petrol costs Rs. 96.72 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 89.62 per litre. In Hyderabad, petrol costs Rs. 109.66 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 97.82 per litre. Chennai’s petrol costs Rs. 102.65 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 94.24 per litre. Mumbai’s petrol costs Rs. 106.31 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 97,28 per litre. Finally, in Bangalore, petrol costs Rs. 101.94 per litre while diesel costs Rs. 87.89 per litre.

India relies heavily on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, so changes in crude oil prices affect fuel rates. Other factors like demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar depreciation, and refinery concept ratio can also impact domestic fuel prices.
