DCC president Shankar Naik criticized Challa Malla Krishna Reddy for rejoining the party without informing the local MLA and DCC president. Reddy had joined BJP after Congress gave the party MLA ticket for Munugodu to Rajgopal Reddy, but later returned to Congress and criticized party leaders.
Naik called Reddy an opportunistic politician and urged party workers to question him if he visits villages as a Congress party leader. He emphasized that any leader from another party wishing to join Congress should first consult the local MLA, minister, and DCC president.
The incident took place at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. Naik expressed his disappointment in a press statement regarding Reddy’s actions and statements against the Congress party, TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy, and other party leaders during the election campaign.
