Students at Osmania University submitted a memorandum on Monday, requesting improvements to the university’s facilities and services. They handed this memorandum to Professor G Naresh Reddy, the registrar of the university.
The students highlighted several ongoing problems, particularly with the hostel mess facilities. They complained about the poor quality of food served and the lack of proper accommodations in the hostels. Additionally, they raised concerns about the lack of adequate drinking water and the poor maintenance of bathrooms in the hostels.
The memorandum also called for upgrades to the university’s health centre. The students asked for the establishment of a grievance redressal mechanism to help solve their issues more effectively. Finally, they emphasized the need for more counseling services and mental health support on campus.
