Hyderabad – The Department of Microbiology at Osmania University’s University College of Science has officially announced its upcoming International Conference on Emerging Microbial Technologies for One Health, set to take place from October 15 to 17. This major event celebrates the department’s 50th anniversary, marking five decades of academic excellence.
On Monday, Vice Chancellor Professor Kumar Molugaram unveiled the conference’s official brochure and poster during a special gathering attended by university leaders and faculty. He stressed the importance of making the event impactful by bringing in top experts from at least 20 different countries. He also recommended collaborating with a respected international journal to publish the conference research papers, which would help showcase the university’s work on a global scale.
Several key university officials attended the launch, including Registrar Professor G Naresh Reddy, Principal Professor Gunda Prabhakar, Professor Sandeepta, and Dr Hameeda Bee. Their presence highlighted the university’s strong support for the conference.
Professor B Bhima, the head of the microbiology department and the conference convenor, shared that the event will provide a global platform for scientists and professionals working in microbiology and One Health. He encouraged researchers, students, and stakeholders to actively take part in the event to foster collaboration and innovation in the field.
