Pardipuram Residents Seek Gram Panchayat Status
People living in Pardipuram, part of the 5th ward in Aiza Municipality, want their locality recognized as a separate Gram Panchayat. A group of villagers approached MLC Challa Venkata Ramireddy and Alampur MLA Vijayudu, urging them to address this long-standing request.
Villagers accuse local Congress leaders of illegally acquiring land titles in farmers’ names for hilly areas in Pardipuram. They claim these leaders are involved in large-scale soil excavation and transport. Those who speak out against these actions face threats from the leaders, villagers report.
Despite several complaints to the District Collector, MRO, SI, and other officials, no action has been taken, causing frustration among residents. In response, MLC Challa Venkata Ramireddy and MLA Vijayudu promised to take firm steps to stop the illegal soil transport and address the villagers’ concerns.
Former councilor Sriramulu, alongside Ramakrishna Goud, Gangadhar, Shiva Yadav, Naresh, Anjaneyulu Goud, Anjaneyulu, Narsimhulu, and others, participated in the initiative.
Julekal Faces Water Supply Issues
In Julekal village, located in Waddepally mandal of Jogulamba Gadwal District, residents struggle with inconsistent drinking water supply from the Mission Bhagiratha scheme. Villagers complain that water from the Revulapalli pipeline serves 8–10 other villages before reaching them, limiting supply to once a week.
They suggest extending the pipeline by one kilometer from the Julekal stage to their village for a lasting solution. A request was made to MLC Challa Venkata Ramireddy and MLA Vijayudu, who assured villagers of a swift resolution.
