Gadwal: I. Sridhar Reddy, the TAPAS District President, has called on the central government to address a recent Supreme Court decision about teacher eligibility under the RTE Act, 2009.

During the TAPAS membership drive in Aiza mandal on Monday, Sridhar Reddy highlighted that according to NCTE orders under the RTE Act-2009, teachers hired before 2010 did not need a TET qualification. However, the Supreme Court’s new ruling conflicts with this, worrying many teachers. He urged the central government to act quickly on this issue.

He also insisted that the government should promptly release the pending DA arrears and ensure justice for the 317 employees still waiting for a resolution.
