Heavy rain and thunderstorms hit Hyderabad on Tuesday, providing relief from the hot weather. The storm caused disruptions in traffic and normal life, leaving many people stranded on their way home from work. Several areas in Greater Hyderabad experienced thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hailstorms. Some areas also faced power cuts due to the strong winds. The Bhagmati boat on Hussain Sagar Lake was also affected by the heavy winds, but disaster management teams were able to bring it to safety. The IMD has warned of the possibility of more storms and hailstorms in the coming days, and an orange alert has been issued.
