Hyderabad: On Tuesday, PCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud challenged Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to a public debate in Karimnagar.

Goud reminded Sanjay that he is no longer a local corporator but a Union Minister. He criticized Sanjay for frequently commenting on Rohingyas and urged him to take action instead of complaining, given his role in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

Goud declared that the BJP would face a significant defeat in upcoming local elections, suggesting Sanjay might have to retire from politics. He accused BJP MPs of avoiding questions regarding uneven fund allocations for projects.

Goud questioned Sanjay’s contributions to Telangana and Karimnagar, asking how many projects he brought or jobs he created. He also criticized Sanjay for not addressing the 42% reservations issue for BCs.

He questioned Sanjay’s reliance on religious rhetoric and his contributions to local temples like Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple and Vemulawada Raja Rajeshwara Temple. Goud challenged Sanjay on his stance regarding Muslim reservations, pointing out inconsistencies in BJP-governed states and advocating for justice for poor Muslims in Telangana.
