    The Group-1 preliminary examination by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) went smoothly at 897 centers across 31 districts of Telangana. A total of 4.03 lakh candidates applied for the exam, with 3.02 lakh candidates (74%) actually taking the test.

    In Hyderabad district, 40,569 candidates registered for the exam, and around 25,051 candidates showed up to take it. The Commission closely monitored all exam centers and strong rooms via live CCTV feed from their Command Control Centre in Hyderabad.

    The preliminary answer key for the exam will soon be available on the Commission’s website, www.tspsc.gov.in. The schedule for the Group I (Mains) examination, set to happen on October 21, will be announced soon. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates, according to a senior TGPSC officer.
