Pharma dealer arrested for selling fake drugs

Hyderabad: The State Drugs Control Administration has arrested Manish Kumar, a partner at Arvind Pharma Distributors in SBI Staff Colony, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad. He was caught selling fake drugs on Tuesday.

Authorities seized counterfeit Levipil 500 Tablets, which were falsely labeled as products of Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd. The X Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Secunderabad ordered Kumar’s judicial remand until July 23. He is currently held in Chanchalguda Jail.

Shahnawaz Qasim, Director General of the Drugs Control Administration, emphasized a strict policy against those involved in selling fake drugs. He instructed officers to take firm legal action against any pharmacies or dealers in possession of counterfeit medicines, ensuring they face justice.
