    Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy recently discussed the legal provisions for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections with city police officials during a video conference. He emphasized the need for conducting the elections freely, fairly, and impartially in a peaceful environment, following the Election Commission of India’s directions.

    During the conference, Legal Advisor Ramulu provided a detailed presentation on various acts and rules related to the electoral process, including the Representation of Peoples Act, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, and other relevant laws. The participants learned about how to handle different situations leading up to the polling date.

    The importance of Flying Squad Teams (FSTs) and Static Surveillance Teams (SSTs) was highlighted, with instructions for police nodal officials to closely monitor their activities to ensure successful outcomes.
