Police officers in Hyderabad instructed to exercise autonomy, impartiality, and resoluteness during elections

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, Sandeep Shandilya, has instructed the police to conduct the upcoming Assembly elections in a fair and unbiased manner. He held a meeting with all the police officers from different zones to discuss the preparations for the elections.

During the meeting, Shandilya discussed the categorization of police stations and the number of staff required for each station. He also emphasized on the enforcement work that needs to be done, such as dealing with cash, liquor, drugs, and other violations. The officers were directed to take necessary actions and maintain peace during the elections.

The officers were given instructions according to the Model Code of Conduct and had an opportunity to clarify any doubts they had. The performance of the Task Force for the past 15 days was also reviewed during the meeting.

Flying squads located in the different MLA constituencies were instructed to carry out their duties responsibly. Any negligence will result in serious disciplinary actions. Additional Commissioner (law & order) Vikram Singh Mann, Additional Commissioner special Branch, P Vishwa Prasad, and other officers were present at the meeting.
