Hyderabad: On Saturday night, the Rachakonda police discovered seven illegal spa centers during a raid. Many individuals were taken into custody. Authorities stated these spas lacked the necessary permits and licenses.
The Chaitanyapuri police detained over 40 people, including spa owners, managers, female employees, and a few clients. K Saidulu, SHO of Chaitanyapuri, mentioned ongoing investigations and noted that any owners who fled would be apprehended soon.
At Mojo Wellness Spa in Kothapet, three individuals were arrested: one male client and two female workers. The owner is on the run. At Sky Beauty & Spa, also in Kothapet, two women, including an owner and a staff member, were arrested. The Peaceful Family Salon & Spa in New Nagole saw seven arrests: an owner, five female employees, and a male client. At Brightness Beauty Spa, near Shivaji Statue, six people, including the manager, staff, two male customers, were detained, while a female owner remains missing.
In Lavi Beauty Spa, Sai Nagar Colony, eight individuals, including the owner, staff, and three male clients, were arrested. At Sri Elite Spa & Salon in Alkapuri, four people were taken in, comprising the manager and staff. At Visarizon Spa, near Nagole X-Road, ten were arrested, including the manager, a male client, eight female employees, and one female telecaller.
All those arrested were taken to the police station, and a case has been registered. It was uncovered that these centers had been operating illegally for an extended period.
