Kidnappers Arrested After Abducting Woman in Sircilla
The Vemulawada police successfully arrested two kidnappers from Maharashtra who had abducted a woman from Sircilla on Wednesday.
According to Town Inspector Veeraprasad, the incident started with a financial dispute between Pallapu Srinu, a resident of Kodimunja R&R Colony, and Lalu Nagorao Dayaranglod from Maharashtra. Srinu had borrowed money from Lalu to hire laborers but did not send workers as promised, leading to the disagreement.
In an attempt to recover his money, Lalu, along with his wife Panchatula and four others, traveled to Kodimunja to confront Srinu. When they could not find him at home, they decided to kidnap Srinu’s mother, Bhimabai, and took her to Nanded in Maharashtra.
Following a complaint from Bhimabai’s grandson, Venkatesh, the police registered a case. Acting on the orders of District Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhil Mahajan, two police teams were sent to Nanded. With the help of the local police, two suspects were arrested, while four other suspects remain at large.
The District SP commended the Vemulawada Town Police for solving the case within 24 hours and ensuring the safe return of the kidnapped woman.
