Warangal – Polytechnic education plays a key role in building strong career foundations, especially for students who want hands-on training and quick job opportunities, said Dr. E Tirumal Rao, Chairman of the SVS Group of Institutions.
At a recent event in Hanumakonda, Dr. Rao spoke about how polytechnic courses can be a game-changer for students who have completed or are about to complete their 10th standard. He highlighted that these programs offer practical skills in areas like Mechanical, Civil, Electronics and Communication (ECE), Computer Science (CSE), and Pharmacy.
Dr. Rao emphasized that students who complete polytechnic courses have strong employment prospects in both government and private sectors. Organizations such as DRDO, BHEL, Indian Railways, and Metro services often hire diploma holders for various technical roles.
He also pointed out that polytechnic education opens the door to further studies. Students can later enter B.Tech programs through lateral entry, giving them a chance to earn an engineering degree.
Dr. Rao encouraged students from rural backgrounds to seize this opportunity. He said polytechnic education can lead to a brighter and more secure future, especially for those seeking early employment or wanting to continue their studies in engineering fields.
