Hyderabad: Gram Panchayat elections are set to take place in December this year, according to Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.
During an informal conversation with media persons at the State Secretariat, the Minister shared that the government is making all necessary arrangements to conduct the local body elections. Since the elections are due, the government is fully prepared to hold the panchayat polls.
The Minister also mentioned that the BC caste census is expected to be completed on schedule by November. After that, the official schedule for the local body elections will be announced.
Additionally, the government has already decided to move forward with the construction of Indiramma houses, with the identification of beneficiaries to be completed by December.
