Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar advised BJP leaders to protest outside Kishan Reddy's house instead of the GHMC office. He said the Union Minister is blocking the city’s progress by not securing funds from the Central Government.
During a protest by BJP leaders and GHMC corporators at the GHMC headquarters in Hyderabad, the Minister criticized the BJP for blaming the ruling Congress for development issues. Prabhakar suggested that protests should target Kishan Reddy’s residence, as he is the city’s representative, rather than the Corporation’s office.
The Minister called on all political parties to unite and pressure the Centre for funds to improve Hyderabad, urging them not to politicize the matter.
Ponnam accused BJP leaders of performing ‘political stunts’ without securing any funds from the Centre for Hyderabad’s growth. He stated the Central Government is a major hurdle due to Kishan Reddy’s inadequate representation of the State. He assured that the State Government is actively working on GHMC’s development and resolving issues.
Prabhakar suggested BJP leaders should focus their dissatisfaction on Kishan Reddy to prompt fund allocation from the Centre.
