Hyderabad: Health Minister C Damodar Raja Narsimha criticized BRS senior leader T Harish Rao for the previous government’s handling of medical education. He accused them of creating colleges only on paper for political gain and now lamenting over it.
Raja Narsimha responded to Harish Rao’s comments about the NMC summoning the health secretary regarding medical colleges. He highlighted that students’ futures were jeopardized due to a lack of planning, faculty, buildings, and infrastructure. He claimed that when colleges receive notices from NMC, they panic and mislead parents and students, pretending that such notices never came during the BRS rule, and accused Harish Rao of using deceptive tactics.
The minister stated, “We are fixing the damage done to government education and medical systems. In the past year and a half, we have filled over 8,000 jobs in the health department. We are ensuring that every college and hospital has proper facilities, appointing faculty, and improving infrastructure.”
He assured students that the government is committed to safeguarding every college in the state and will take necessary actions to prevent any loss of seats.
