Hyderabad: The road between Ameenpur and Chanda Nagar has become dangerous and nearly impossible to drive on. Daily commuters are fed up with the poor condition of this stretch. After recent rains, the road is now full of potholes, making travel even worse.

Despite repeated complaints, no permanent action has been taken. People using this route every day say the road is not just uncomfortable—it’s unsafe. Many accidents, both big and small, have been reported in the past few months. The lack of proper streetlights only adds to the risk, especially at night.

Last year, officials announced plans to repair and re-carpet the road. A tender was even issued. But residents say only minor internal roads have seen any work. The main road remains untouched. Locals blame the Ameenpur Municipal Corporation and the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) for ignoring the issue. The road falls under both their jurisdictions, but neither has taken full responsibility.

The stretch connects Ameenpur Kamaan Road to Chanda Nagar, and it’s a key route to major IT hubs like Hitec City and Gachibowli. Thousands of vehicles use it daily. Yet, the road is narrow, has no proper dividers, and is filled with potholes, causing heavy traffic jams, especially during peak hours.

    Commuters shared their frustration:

RK Yadav said, “It’s been months since tenders were called, but there’s no progress. The road is broken, uneven, and too narrow, causing constant traffic blocks.”

Sneha, a daily traveler, added, “Every day is a struggle. We’ve complained so many times, but officials ignore us. Nothing has changed.”

Sai Teja pointed out, “This road is vital, yet it has no lighting. Driving at night is extremely risky.”

Mahesh Reddy shared, “The rains have made the road slippery and even more dangerous. Officials keep promising repair dates, but nothing gets done. Before the monsoon hits harder, they need to act.”

Residents are demanding immediate repairs to prevent more accidents and reduce daily suffering. They urge authorities to stop delays and start proper roadwork before conditions get even worse.
