A high-tension power line fell on a furniture shop near KGR Convention Hall in Bachupally late on Tuesday night, leading to a massive fire. About 20 furniture shops were completely destroyed. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.

The fire started around 11:00 PM, and firefighters from Kukatpally, Jeedimetla, Patancheru, Sanathnagar, and Madhapur worked tirelessly to control it. By 8:00 AM the next morning, the fire was fully extinguished.

An official explained that all the shops were in tin sheds. Because it was Holi and a lunar eclipse, shop owners had closed early, so no one was inside when the fire broke out.
