AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will be launching two new guarantees in Hyderabad – Gruha Jyothi, which offers 200 units of free power supply, and cooking gas cylinders at a discounted rate of Rs 500. These guarantees are in addition to the existing promises of free bus travel for women and an increased Arogyasri limit of Rs 10 lakh. The party had initially pledged six guarantees during the recent Assembly elections.
To mark the launch of these two new guarantees, a large public meeting will be held in Chevella, where Priyanka Gandhi will personally distribute the benefits to some individuals. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has already reviewed the plans for the implementation of these guarantees, which will require beneficiaries to have a white ration card and adhere to certain terms and conditions.
Beneficiaries for the free power and cooking gas cylinder schemes will be selected from applicants of ‘Praja Palana’, with all applications being carefully examined before final approval.
