Hyderabad: N V Subhash, the BJP spokesperson and grandson of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, has accused the Congress party of tarnishing the image of its own veteran leaders after their death to promote the Gandhi family dynasty. Subhash stated that the party would go to any extent to defame PV, who dedicated his life to the growth of the party.

Subhash strongly criticized certain parts of the autobiography of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyer, stating that the Congress never respected its own leaders, particularly PV, who was known for his economic reforms during his time as Prime Minister.

While Subhash appreciated Aiyer’s description of PV as “the first BJP PM,” he strongly condemned the labeling of PV as “communal.” Subhash expressed his disappointment that Aiyer, who was close to the Gandhi family, never questioned PV’s actions during his lifetime but chose to question his integrity 19 years after his death.

Subhash accused Aiyer of using disrespectful language towards the BJP, Congress leaders, and the RSS. He alleged that the book exemplified Aiyer’s sycophancy towards the Gandhi family. Subhash also criticized Sonia Gandhi for her presence at the book launch, suggesting that she deliberately prevented PV’s body from being brought into the AICC to pay respects to him.

Subhash objected to the book’s contents regarding resuming dialogue with Pakistan. He questioned how dialogue could be resumed with a country that had not shown remorse or taken any steps towards peace. He criticized Aiyer for always favoring Pakistan over India.

In conclusion, Subhash expressed his strong disapproval of the Congress party’s treatment of PV Narasimha Rao and their attempts to tarnish his legacy after his death.
