A large pothole appeared on the bridge over the stream on the Aiza–Kurnool highway, posing a danger to drivers. Despite the last three months of heavy rain, the Roads & Buildings (R&B) authorities hadn’t addressed the issue. Many motorists were concerned about possible accidents, especially since many heavy vehicles and interstate buses use this route.
Drivers urged officials to improve the road conditions to ensure safety, highlighting that the bridge is crucial for travel between Telangana, Andhra Pradesh’s Rayalaseema, and Karnataka.
Sub-Inspector Srinivas Rao quickly visited the scene. With help from police and R&B officials, he managed emergency repairs. They filled the pothole with a moram mixture to prevent accidents, allowing traffic to flow smoothly.
Drivers were relieved by the quick fix and thanked the officials for their prompt response. They also requested long-term repairs for the road and bridge to prevent future dangers.
