Gadwal: On Friday, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) organized a major public meeting at the football stadium in Teri maidanam grounds, Jogulamba Gadwal district. The event, led by party working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), attracted thousands of party members and supporters, making it one of the district’s largest political gatherings recently.

The notable absence of Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy caught attention. Although he was elected on a BRS ticket, he has since leaned towards the Congress. Previously, he had assured the media of his allegiance to the BRS, but his decision to skip the meeting was significant.

The rally started from Krishna Reddy’s residence and ended at the stadium. Prominent leaders like former minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, MLC Challa Venkata Ramireddy, Alampur MLA Vijayudu, RS Praveen Kumar, district in-charge Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, former Sports Authority chairman Anjaneyulu Goud, senior leader Nagarjuna Reddy Venkat Ramulu, and former municipal chairman B.S. Keshav along with councillors joined KTR.

KTR addressed the audience, criticizing those who switched from BRS to Congress and questioning their motives. He also highlighted key development projects from the previous BRS government, such as irrigation schemes for nearly 10 lakh acres, a medical and nursing college with a 100-bed hospital, and new housing units.

Despite the heavy rain, a large crowd attended, showcasing the ongoing support for BRS at the grassroots level in the district, according to party leaders.
