Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress party in India, said that his party will defeat the BJP in upcoming state elections. He mentioned that it is not just the Congress party, but also the people of India who will defeat the BJP’s hate-filled ideology. Rahul Gandhi spoke at a dinner event organised by the Indian Overseas Congress-USA.
He mentioned that his party successfully defeated the BJP in Karnataka and will do the same in Telangana. Elections in Telangana are scheduled to be held later this year. Apart from Telangana, there are elections scheduled for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh this year.
Rahul Gandhi arrived in New York after visiting Washington and San Francisco. He will address a community rally at the Javits Centre in Manhattan later on Sunday.
