Railways Minister Raosaheb Patil Danve conducts zonal performance review meeting in Hyderabad

Raosaheb Patil Danve, the Minister of State for Railways, Coal, and Mines, held a meeting with senior officers of South Central Railway to assess the performance of the zone. The meeting discussed the progress of upgrading the Secunderabad, Tirupati, and Nellore Railway Stations. They also reviewed the development works at Jalna, Nanded, and Aurangabad railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The minister evaluated the provision of passenger amenities such as lifts, escalators, parking facilities, train display boards, and coach display boards. He advised officials to ensure proper functioning and maintenance of these services. He also emphasized the need for cleanliness, a green environment, and digitized working systems throughout the zone.

The meeting also discussed the progress of sanctioning and commissioning of Road Under Bridges (RuB) and Road Over Bridges (RoB) on the zone. The minister assessed pending tasks and instructed officials to expedite the works. He stressed the importance of holding regular meetings with contractors and state government authorities to avoid any delays.

The One Station One Product initiative was also appreciated during the meeting. It provides a market and creates more opportunities for local artisans. The meeting also highlighted the importance of Gati Shakti, a National Master plan for Multi-Modal Connectivity.

Overall, the meeting addressed important issues related to railway infrastructure and passenger amenities. The minister provided instructions to officials to ensure smooth functioning and speedy execution of pending tasks.
