Hyderabad: Heavy rain has hampered the rescue efforts at Sigachi Industries Pvt Ltd. in Sangareddy district after a massive explosion on Monday. The blast at the chemical plant tragically killed 15 people and injured many others.

Rescue teams are working tirelessly at the Pashamylaram industrial area to save those trapped in the factory. However, the heavy rain made it difficult for them to clear the debris and locate the workers. Officials announced that rescue operations will continue until everyone is found.

By night, authorities confirmed that 149 employees were present during the explosion. Among them, 12 were confirmed dead, while 34 were injured and taken to various hospitals. The exact number of people still trapped remained unknown.
